A group of basketball officials, working in the Southern Tier of New York and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. Board 49 members officiate male and female games for local leages, high school and college. Board 49 is dedicated to the continuing development of basketball referees. We provide a forum for members to meet and discuss basketball, refereeing, and related matters. We also provide ongoing training and developmental assessments for all Board members.

Board 49 strongly believes that a referee's first and foremost responsibility is to the game of basketball... to insure a safe venue for every player - regardless of age, skill or experience.
